Polish Building Contractors is the contracting arm of Polish Subcontracting Ltd. and was born to help fill the the gap due to a shortage of British skilled construction workers, civil engineers and construction managers in the UK.

The Perfect Opportunity.When Poland joined the EU, hundreds of thousands of Polish tradesmen and engineers have entered the UK looking for work. It is reported that a total of around 2 million Central and Eastern European workers, have enetered the UK since 2004; many with construction skills. Together with strategic partners, Polish Building Contractors have capitalised on this opportunity.

English Speaking Construction Management. Although most Polish workers speak little English when they first come to the UK, this is more than made up for by the skills they bring with them which are every bit as informed as those posessed by English workers. By appointing Polish managers who also speak English, Polish Building Contractors are able to utilise the skills of those Polish workers who speak little or no English at all.

Health & Safety. Polish Building Contractors require all foreign workers to pass a safety test under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme, this has been made easier for Polish workers because they can sit the test in their own language. When supplying construction workers under subcontract to main contractors, we ensure that they are aware of 'hot' warning words through language training. Having said that, most construction workers are already aware of most risks associated with their profession.
